C18 two storey, 5 window ashlar front.  Moulded cornice with brackets. Slate roof.  Stone doorway has half-round Tuscan pilasters, entablature with triglyphs and paterae and pediment.  There are small recesses for scrapers to either side of doorway.  Sash window with flush frames and glazing bars.  Rainwater heads decorated with angels' heads.
Premises occupied by Mr Pearson, Rose Cottage, former Castle Hotel, The Bank House, premises occupied by The National Westminster Bank, Old Bank House, and Abbot's Litten form a group with the timber framed structure to the rear of No 87 Cheap Street.
