NORTH SQUARE 1. 5191 (West Side) Gateway to HM Prison SY 6990 7/5A II 2. 1790-2. Architect William Blackburn (associate of John Howard, the prison reformer). Builder John Fentiman of Newington Butts. Rusticated Portland ashlar. Semi-circular arch. Blocking course. Remainder of Prison rebuilt in 1884-5, and not included.
