Description
HIGH WEST STREET 1. 5191 (North Side) No 62 SY 6990 7/81 8.5.50. II GV 2. 3 storeys and attic. Brown brick with red rubbed brick arches to 2nd floor windows. Slate roof, dormers. Eaves cornice. Good shopfront of mid Cl9. 1st floor has 3-light projecting bow resting on projecting shopfront. Strip pilaster between bowed sashes, modillion cornices. 2 sash windows above. Late C18 or early C19. Nos 48 to 65A (consec)including the Shire Hall, Holy Trinity Church, the Museum, St. Peter's Church and monument to William Barnes in churchyard immediately south of West Tower form a group.
