MOSTERTON MOSTERTON VILLAGE ST 40 NE 12.6.53 2/233 The Admiral Hood, (formerly The New Inn) GV II
Public House. Early C18 with C20 refenestration. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof. Roughcast stacks at left and right gable-ends. 2 storeys. 4 windows, 3 and 4-light stone mullions with hollow chamfers. Separate labels over ground floor windows. C20 metal casements with glazing-bars. Front door, left of centre, moulded stone jambs with Tudor-arch-type head in a square surround. Stone porch with a pitched stone slab roof, and stone gable-coping. (Incised HAA 1748 on porch). Source: RCHM Dorset I, p170(6).
