3/28 Metford Mill 26.1.56 GV II
Detached Farmhouse. Late C17, with later bakehouse at right- angles, and C20 refenestration. Rubble-stone and chalk block walls. Thatch roof with gable ends. Brick stack at right hand gable, C18 renewed; rendered stack at left hand gable. Rebuilt west wall in reconstituted stone. 2 storeys and attics. 4 windows, 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars, wooden cills and lintels, C20. Front door with 4 flush panels and 2 top lights,wooden frame, C19. Bakehouse at right angles (south- east corner), rubble-stone walls, tile roof, bread oven extrudes in semi-circular fashion. Converted byre at east end of farm- house, plank door with 2 top lights and wooden lintel over, brick jambs.
