12/171 The Old School and 26.1.56 Palmer's Cottage (formerly listed as Cottages and Hall E. GV II of East House)
Former School building now private house and attached cottage. C18, with C20 refenestration. Rubble-stone and chalk-block walls, rendered and painted white (Palmer's Cottage). Thatch roof, gabled at left hand and hipped at right hand. Brick stacks at left hand gable, and ridge centre, 1½ storeys. 5 windows in total (2 + 3). Two-light wood casements with glazing-bars, C20. Entrances: Old School, C20 door on right hand end under pentice roof. Stable-door on front elevation, C20. Palmer's has plank door at centre, C20. Thatch porch canopy on wooden posts.
