5/73 Barton Farmhouse and 26.1.56 attached Barn.
GV II
Farmhouse and Barn, in continuous range. Mid C18, or later, in style of C17. Chalk block and knapped flint walls, banded, in traditional style. Roman tile roof with gable ends. C19 brick stacks at gable ends. Two storeys. 3 windows to main range, and a further bay at each end. Ground floor has hollow-chamfered Ham stone mullions, C19 iron casements with diagonally leaded lights. Returned labels over. 4-light (left) and 3-light (right). First floor windows of similar design, 2-, 2- and 3-light respectively. Front doorway at centre, with 3-centred head and flush-panelled door, C19. Extension to house at east end, C19 two storey with brick quoins and gabled slate roof. Interior: slightly-chamfered ceiling-beams; brick-jambed open fireplace in east room. Attached Barn, late C18. Flint and brick quoins. Corrugated iron roof with half-hip at west end. 3 loop-lights with brick dressings. Entrance at centre, brick-jambed, C20 corrugated-iron doors.
