3/136  11-7-51                                      Elm Tree Farmhouse           and outbuildings           attached to the east

House, probably early C18.  Brick with ashlar dressings, gable ended, tiled roof with stone copings and brick end stacks.  2 storeys and attic, 5 bays.  2-light stone mullioned windows with beaded margins. Central doorway with moulded stone surround and 4-centred doorway. Gabled brick porch.  Attached to the right are 2 ranges of brick outbuildings probably of the early C19.  They have tiled, gable-ended roofs. RCHM, Dorset, vol III, p 123, no 18.
