GV Public House. Two C18 ranges, joined by the main C19 range. Dressed stone walls. Thatch roofs to the east and west ranges. Slate roof to the main front range. Stone gable-coping to the east range. Brick stack on the north-east gable. 2 stone stacks on the ridge towards the west end. 1½ and 2 storeys. North-east range of 1½ storeys has 3-light wood casements with glazing-bars, with a 2-leaf plank door below. C19 front range, of 2 storeys. 4 windows, 2-light C20 wood casements with glazing-bars. Wood cills and stone lintels. Front door, left of centre, plank with 6 recess-panels, C19. Gabled slate porch carried cn wooden posts. South-west range has irregular fenestration of casement windows. Interior: flagstone floors. (RCHM, Dorset I, p 259(12)).
