Description
EVERSHOT ST 5704 FORE STREET (North side) 7/22 The Acorn Inn 4.12.51 GV II Detached Public House. Early-mid C19, with C20 alterations (windows, stacks). Coursed dressed stone walls. Slate roofs, with boxed eaves and gable-ends, parallel ridges. Early C20 rebuilt brick stacks at gable ends. 2 storeys. 3 windows, centre being a projecting square bay at first floor level, supported on 2 iron columns, over front doorway. This bay has a tripartite sash to front and a sash on each of the return sides, with recess-panel pilasters at the corners. First floor windows each side are 3-light iron casements with lead lights, C19. Ground floor has 2-light wood casements with transoms, C20 - front door at centre, with 6 flush-panels, C19. Short lower range at left hand end, has 2 low storeys. Slate roof.
