Description
COOMBE STREET 1. 1357 (South West Side) No 4 (The Arched House). The Conservative Club. SY 3492 1/20 II GV 2.
Said to have C18 core; probably at least in part rebuilt post-1844. Tall 2-storey front. 3 window bays. Stuccoed. Sash windows 3 panes wide in reveals. Round headed doorway to No 4 in between 1st and 2nd windows from left hand end; plain semi-circular fanlight; 4-panelled door. Similar door to Conservative Club. To the rear, building is arched over river and returns southwards along west bank of River Lim.
Nos 1 to 4 (consec) and The Conservative Club, Coombe Street form a group.
