Two attached shops, premises of J. B. and M. Shaw (Newsagents). Early C19. Brick walls and rendered plinth. Slate roof with stone gable-coping at right hand. Renewed brick stack at left hand. 2 storeys and attics. 4 windows, 2 and 3-light wooden casements, rendered lintels and projecting keys. Doors, at left hand, wooden. C20 with panelled reveals. Projecting keystone over. No 23, door to newsagent, with panelled reveals and surround, C20. Attached rear premises, at right-angles down Shadrack Street, rubble walls, slate roof gabled, circular brick stack over eaves. 2 storeys, 3 irregularly spaced windows.
