GV II
House in row, with shop. Early C19. Rendered, slate roof. 3 storeys and attic, 2 windows; blocked flat-roofed dormers above a 2-storey bowed oriel, with 6:9:6 above 8:12:8-pane sashes, and, to the right, a 9-pane above a 12-pane sash, both in plain reveals. A deep C20 fascia and shop front has eliminated all early work at the ground floor. A moulded cornice between modelled consoles, a blocking course and replacement coping. INTERIOR not inspected. Although probably built at the same time as the adjoining No.25 (qv), the fronts are differently treated. No.24 has ground floor premises continuous with Nos 81 & 82 St Mary Street (qv), in one occupation at the time of survey. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 352).
