Pair of houses. Early C19. Stone rubble, mostly rendered; stone-coped slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks. Each of 2-unit plan with rear outshut. 2 storeys, each 2-windowed. Late C19 horned 2/2-pane sashes, except C19 casements with margin panes to ground floor on right. Half-glazed panelled doors. C19 dormer with similar sash to right and C20 half-dormer to left. Early C19 horizontal-sliding sashes with glazing bars to rear. Subsidiary Features: front garden walls on left extend to front boundary wall which has pyramidal caps to piers flanking central steps, similar right end pier and tall pier to left with ball finial. Group value with Church of St John (qv).
