Former small house or houses, now derelict and used as stores/workshops. Probably mid to late C18. Large squared dressed Portland block, corrugated iron roofs. In two units; immediately adjoining No 197 is a two-storey building with two square openings at first floor, and a 4-pane and 16-pane at ground floor, with plank stable door to plain opening far right. Raised verge, small cropped gable stack. To the left, and c 1.5 m higher up slope, but with common eaves level, a single- storey unit with wide central opening to ovolo-mould wood lintol and a wide 16-pane sash. A swept-down addition to left, with some roof tiles and a 2-light casement. Top gable, partly into hillside, has wide opening above loading door at ground level; raised verge and cropped stone stack with small brick top, Back has 2 openings, encroached on by built-up ground level. These two units complete a significant surviving row, and are earlier than the remainder.
