House in row. Late C18. Painted Flemish bond brickwork front, rendered flank, rubble back wall, slate roof. An unusual wider-frontage house in 2 storeys and attic, with 4 windows; there are 2 flat-roofed 2-light casement dormers above four 12-pane replacement sashes in flush boxes and with thin wood sills, to brick voussoirs. In bay 2 is an early 6-panel door, the upper 2 panels glazed, under a flat hood on deep double-scroll consoles, and on 2 stone steps. A high plinth, small modillion eaves cornice, and gable stacks. The left gable wall is in rubble for approx 2m height, with large flush quoins. INTERIOR: RCHME gives a plan (p.348) showing a narrow room to the left, cross passage, and transverse stair behind the room to the right, which also has a semicircular cupboard with shaped shelves.
