1. 865 MARKET PLACE (South Side) Nos 22 & 24
ST 8806 1/61 27.10.50. II GV 2.
Late C18, probably. 3-storey 4-window front. Ground floor is stone or stucco, red brick above. Sash windows with altered glazing bars. Small eaves cornice. 2 small early to mid C19 shop fronts, the name board in No 22 with flanking scrolls [formerly a similar name-board in No 24 also].
All the listed buildings in Market Place, and Nos 59 to 73 (odd) East Street, Conyer's Filling Station, Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Nos 2 to 8 (even) and No 12 West Street, and Church of St Peter and St Paul form a group.
