Description
1. 865 EAST STREET (South Side) Nos 1 & 3
ST 8806 1/11.a 27.10.50. II GV 2.
Early C18, 2 storey pair, each 2 window. Painted stone or stucco. Flat string, Eaves cornice is moulded and coved. Dormers. Doorways have moulded hoods on carved brackets. No 1 has a doorway facing East with segmental hood on enriched brackets. Wreath ornament in tympanum.
Nos 1 to 17 (odd) and Outbuildings behind Nos 1 and 3 form a group
being of particular interest because most of them date from the fire
of 1731.
