Mid C19. 2 storeys and attic. 4 bays. Stone ashlar front with gabled
parapet with coping. First and third bays from right hand end have gabled
dormers behind flat parapet; second and fourth bays from right hand end
have gables with attic windows. 2-light and 3-light casement windows.
Windows with stone dressings and drip moulds over, now painted. Handsome
large semi-circular arched doorway with dripmould over at eastern end;
handsome wooden boarded doors. C19 shop fronts flanked by pilasters with
plain fascia [fascia to centre window altered] and large moulded cornice
over. Once an Inn.
The Town Hall Church of ST Peter, The Mitre Inn and Nos 25 to 31 (odd)
form a group.
