Description

1.1615 ANGEL LANE (North-East Side) The Cedars. No 5. ST 8623 1/10 II 2. L-shaped block. The Cedars is a late C18 or early C19 building. Tile roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Brick structure with ashlar front. Flight of 6 steps flanked by iron handrail terminating in a scroll leads up to central doorway. Door with 6 flush panels in frame; hood on iron brackets over. Glazing bars to window. Incorporated in the front are carved stone bosses of medieval origin. At north-east end is No 5: a lower 2-storey 5-bay wing. Stone rubble with plaintile roof and hipped gable to road. Casement windows. Splayed porch in corner adjoining the Cedars. Doors in 2nd and 3rd bays from the street. Listing NGR: ST8647823121
