Listed Building: OUTBUILDING APPROXIMATELY 10M NORTH OF MILL FARMHOUSE (102496)

ST 7813 STURMINSTER NEWTON STALBRIDGE LANE Newton Outbuilding approximately 10m north of Mill Farmhouse 9/84 G.V. II Possibly a detached kitchen, now an outbuilding. Probably C17 or earlier with an C18 rebuild of the north wall. Coursed squared rubble, thatched roof, half-hipped at one end, gabled with stone stack to the other. Entrance in southern gable opposite the entrance to Mill Farmhouse. Internally there is a single central jointed cruck truss. The north wall has a fireplace with a timber bressummer besides which is an alcove lit by a small square window. A straight joint suggests this fireplace is a later addition.
