Parish church; nave, chancel and porch of C14 origin, some C16 fenestration;
north aisle, vestry and general restoration 1871. 1871 work by G E Street.
Banded rubble and flint with ashlar dressings, tiled roof with stone coping.
West tower: single external stage with diagonal 2-stage buttresses; embattled
parapet with moulded string course; pointed west window of 2 lights with
curvilinear tracery; belfry has pointed, Y-tracery windows with reset head-
corbels over. South nave has an original paired, trefoiled lancets. A
similar window is reset in the north aisle wall. The nave has 2 C16, square-
headed, 4-light windows. The south chancel wall has a C14, pointed curvilinear
tracery window and a chamfered, segmental pointed door. C19, 3-light,pointed
east window. The C19 work is fenestrated mainly with pairs and triplets of
lancets. The south porch has a C14, pointed, moulded archway with continuous
jambs and a doorway with a moulded, pointed head, continuous jambs and a
cinquefoiled rere-arch.
Internal features: 4 bay arcade with pointed arches, the eastern bay being C14
with mouldings dying into the responds and the others being C19 with clustered
shafts with moulded capitals and bases; C19 pointed, moulded chancel arch with
shaftes responds having capitals and bases; pointed tower arch of 3 chamfered
orders dying into the responds; C19 arch-braced collar roof to nave with single
windbraced purlin and ashlar pieces; chancel has C19 ribbed barrel roof; C14
trefoiled piscina; C17 octagonal pulpit with heightsof panelling and a chip-
carved frieze; stone font dated 1736 of baluster form having original cover
with pineapple finial; C19 encaustic tiles; C19 monument; other features
