Ice House about 30 metres south south east of Barton Hill House
GV II
Ice house. Probably late C18 or early C19. Stone walls, partly rendered and with a red brick elliptically-arched barrel vault. Rectangular chamber of about 3.3 by 4.8 metres on plan. Curved brick entrance tunnel on north side and access hole for loading to the north east. Stone flag floor. Now partly filled with earth. The chamber is entirely underground and covered by a low earth mound. The entrance is now also buried.
