10/114 Heddle House
II
House and shop now a private house. Probably C18 origin, remodelled
early C20. Rubble and flint with brick dressings, timber-framing with
with herringbone brick nogging. Hipped and half-hipped tiled roofs.
2 attached ranges. Timbered shop front in angle between ranges. This
has elliptical-headed windows with leaded-lights above. House has jettied
end with oriel window on brackets. Shop range has elliptical-headed
doorway in end wall flanked by 2 round headed windows. Wrought iron lamp
bracket with provision for hanging shop sign. An unusual and good quality
early C20 shop
