2. Nave 1873-4, G E Street, Early English style, coursed rubble with stone dressings. Big wheel window over stubby buttresses at west end, 6 uncusped lancets on north side, four 2-light plate tracery windows to south aisle. South-west tower and porch, unbuttressed, 1923, S C Tugwell. Chancel with aisles, transeptal organ chamber to north and north-east vestries with 2 gables to east, all added 1886-7, Sir Arthur Blomfield, in Decorated style. 5-light east window to chancel, 3-light to south chapel. (Orientations given are 'ritual', west end actually faces south). Interior plastered: 4-bay south arcade with chamfered arches on circular piers with moulded capitals. Base of tower by Street, with continuous mouldings to arch into aisle. Nave roof with semi-circular arch braces carrying posts and beams in apex, canted rafters to aisle. Chancel arch on angel corbels, chancel roof boarded between pointed arch braces. Font by Street: circular bowl with medallions on marble colonnettes and circular steps, cover spire of pitchpine with gabled trefoil arches between gilt spirelets. Italian Baroque sanctuary lamp. Wrought iron screens 1919 (chapel) and 1929 (chancel). East window glass by Clayton and Bell.
