2. l913-14, John Oldrid Scott and Son and C T Miles. Large church of Purbeck rubble, Decorated style. 6-bay nave with 3-light aisle window under shallow arches, 3-light clerestory with Y-tracery. Lean-to west porch between buttresses under b-light west window. North porch circa 1955 on site of intended tower. North chapel, under separate gable, transeptal 2-gable organ chamber to south, vestries under east end, 7-light east window. Chequerwork eaves frieze throughout, chequerwork parapet to flat-roofed vestry staircase. North-east church hall added 1973-4. Long high interior: arcades all double-chamfered and stilted on circular columns with fillets. Very tall arches to organ chamber. Chancel arch on angel corbels, double-arch entrance to north chapel. King-post roof to nave, boarded arched ceiling on coving to chancel. English altar with angel riddelposts. East window glass by Percy Bacon. Font octagonal, on 8 green marble colonnettes.
