STURMINSTER MARSHALL SY 99 NW MAPPERTON 9/72 The World's End PH - II Public house. Of probable C17 origin, mainly C18 and early C19. Cob walls to the south side, painted brickwork to the north side, cambered openings. Thatch roof, with eyebrow dormers. A long narrow range, with a taller block at the north east side, beyond which is an L-shaped single storeyed range of stores and stables. One storey and attic, irregular fenestration. Casements. Plain doorways. The building adjoins a section of the old east west road, re-routed to a more northerly line round Charborough Park. RCHM
