6/92 The Long House
II
Shown on OS Map as Moonrakers. Detached house - possibly once 2 cottages. Probably late C17. Plastered cob walls, hipped thatched roof, central brick stack. One storey and attic. Two C20 porches with gabled pantiled roofs - one with flush door, one now blocked. Ground floor has four C20 casements. Attic has 4 dormers with similar casements. Internally, 2 large open fireplaces - part rebuilt, with timber lintels. Some exposed ceiling beams - one deep chamfered. Original roof structure survives.
