GV II
House, now 2 offices. Early C16, altered, divided and refronted mid C18, C19 shop front. Rendered with stone dressings, limestone rubble right-hand return, rendered ridge stack and tiled roof. Single-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. A deep moulded cornice, returned at the left, to a parapet. C20 shop front has moulded brackets to fascia in 2 sections of 4-lights each, the right-hand one with outer doorways. First-floor keyed architraves to 6/6-pane sashes. Rear has a wide 2-storey central wing with a hipped roof below the ridge. INTERIOR contains an early C16 two-light 4-centre-arched stone window and a left-hand 4-centre-arched door with rebate and iron hinges in the rear left-hand wall. Upper floors not accessible, but RCHME reports a C16 roof of 7 bays with cambered collars and tie beams, C18 plaster ceiling divided into squares by moulded ribs, panelling, fireplace, staircase and doors.
