CORFE CASTLE ENCOMBE SY 97 NW 4/91 Obelisk 550m north-east of Encombe House - II
Monument. Erected 1835. Stone tapered obelisk, square on plan with pyramidal top, on a square base of 2 stages. Inscription states that it was put up "in honour of Sir William Scott, created Baron Stowell". Prominent on the hill in views from the house. (RCHM, Monument 11. Dorset. Vol. II).
