Description
                CORFE CASTLE             EAST STREET ( East side ) SY 96 82 7/22                                               No. 27 (formerly listed under                                                    "Premises on north-east corner 20.11.59                     of East Street") GV                               II House in terrace.  Early C18.  Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, one stone stack at left end, one adjoining No. 29.  2 storeys.  Stone plat band at first floor level, and buttress at right end.  Part-glazed door.  2-storeyed porch, with brick walls and hipped stone slate roof, open on ground floor, with circular stone columns.  On first floor of porch a cross-pattern mullioned and transomed window with lead lights.  In main house, ground floor has 3 casements with centre horizontal glazing bar,  under segmental arches.  First floor has 2 similar windows under flat arches.  (RCHM, Monument 33.  Dorset.  Vol. II).
