Terrace of cottages. Nos 1 to 6 late C18 - early C19. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roofs. Nos 1 and 2 have shared plastered stack. No 1, 2 storeys, has part-glazed door. Ground floor has 2 horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. First floor has 2 casement windows with horizontal glazing bars. C20 rear extension of one storey and attic, in matching construction. No 2 has one brick stack. 2 storeys. Part-glazed door. Ground and first floors each have 2 sash windows with vertical glazing bars. Single storey rear lean-to. Nos 3 and 4 of 2 storeys and attic. Flush door to No 3, panelled door to No 4. In each house, ground and first floors each have one casement window with glazing bars. Attics each have one flat-roofed dormer with casements with glazing bars. No 4 has gabled rear wing with large stone stack. Nos 5 and 6 have shared brick stack. 2 storeys. Shared panelled entrance door. In No 5 ground floor has 3 casement windows with glazing bars under projecting stone lintols. First floor has 2 similar windows without projecting lintols. In No 6 ground and first floors each have 2 similar windows. RCHM Monument 12. (Dorset Vol II).
