Detached cottage. Late C17 - early C18. Coursed rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, stone stack at left end of main house. Main house of one storey and attic. At left end, a single-storey extension with 1/2-hipped roof. One casement with diamond lead lights in this, under flat arch. In main house, ground floor has 2 casements with diamond lead lights under flat arches. Attic has 2 gabled dormers with similar casements. C20 rear wing, part 2-storeyed, with artificial stone slate roof, part single-storeyed with flat roof. (RCHM, Monument 105. Dorset. Vol. II).
