Description

SY 9978 LANGTON MATRAVERS HIGH STREET (South Side) 6/45 Nos. 75 - 81 (odd nos.) GV II Terrace of four cottages. Probably late C18. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roofs, stone stacks along ridge. L-shaped plan. No. 75 of 2 storeys, has part-glazed door in C20 glazed porch with slate lean-to roof. Ground and first floors each have one sash window with glazing bars. Lean-to extension at left end with parapet, has ledged door. No. 77 of 2 storeys - pair to No. 75 - has part-glazed door. Ground and first floors each have one sash window with glazing bars. No. 79 of 2 storeys and attic - a separate build from No. 77, has part-glazed door and signs of blocked opening. Ground and first floors each have one sash window with glazing bars, and brick quoins. Attic has one pent-roofed dormer with casements. No. 89 of 2 storeys in the projecting wing, has part-glazed door and C20 casement windows on ground and first floors. Stone front boundary wall.
