Description
NEWELL 1. 1625 (North Side) Newell Grange ST 6316 1/172 II 2. C17 to C18 date. Originally a farmhouse. Stone rubble. Steep modern plaintile roof (formerly of thatch). 2 storey, 3 window front to Newell. Front of house and west return have new metal casements. One old casement remains to rear wing. Stone fireplaces. Beams with chamfers. Fireplaces with Adamesque details.
