Description

A small excavation was carried out in January 1964, first by N H Field and a group of volunteers and subsequently by P J Fowler for the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments, on a supposed barrow due for destruction during building operations. The complete absence of finds in the mound suggests it was natural.
