Description

Excavations by the RCHME at the point where the linear dyke forms part of an enclosure. These showed the bank to be 12 feet across and 1 foot high, while the ditch was 9 feet across the top and 3 feet deep. The filling of the ditch contained a few coarse undecorated sherds of pottery, interpreted as possibly indicating a Late Bronze Age date.
