Description

A watching brief was maintained during the topsoil stripping for the construction of the Dorchester By-pass, by Wessex Archaeology, in 1987-1988. This area had been previously evaluated and area excavations had been undertaken, whichinvestigated the colluvium in the coombe and a Bronze Age enclosure and linear boundary. This area was not stripped to the base of the colluvium. No further archaeological features were observed.
