Description

A watching brief was maintained during the topsoil stripping for the construction of the Dorchester By-pass, by Wessex Archaeology, in 1987-1988. This area had been previously evaluated and a few archaeological features identified, including a possible Bronze Age enclosure adjacent to Monkey's Jump. No further archaeological features were observed during the watching brief.
