Description

A resistivity survey using a Martin-Clark Resistivity Meter, was conducted in advance of Excavation on the site of the New Library, Colliton Park in April 1961. There were no indications to show the positions of walls of buildings. Areas of high resistance (the south east end of the site) indicated the position of building rubble. There was lower resistance on the western side of the site which might indicate less rubble or a deeper overburden of soil.
