Description

Two or more inhumations were found in 1841 in levelling a meadow, evidently Northernhay, between the river and the North Walk. The burials were in chalk cut graves, one had an iron collar round the neck, fastened with a spring. Near another were three small undecorated jars. The two larger were of BBW and matt brown ware, the other of fine light red ware [1]. Mapped location is an estimate derived from the descriptive text.
