Description

R. G. Bartelot noted that a floor, probably of mosaic, was found and reburied or destroyed in about 1908 when the houses 'Hambledon' and 'Ranston' were built on the north side of All Saints Road (1). This is recorded in a handwritten note in a copy of Moule's Dorchester Antiquities (1906), p37 in the Dorset County Museum.
