Description

A field survey was conducted at the site of the former Hospital/Workhouse, South Street, Dorchester by J. Rigg. of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 21 August 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows. The area is partly covered by buildings and partly by yards. No trace of antiquity was found. [1]
