Description

A field survey was conducted at the site of the former St. John the Baptist & St. Anthony Hospital, Dorchester by J. Rigg. of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 21 August 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows. The area is derelict and not built upon, though traces of buildings remain. No trace of datable antiquity was found. The brewhouse mentioned in authy 1 could not be located. [1]
