A field survey was conducted at the site of the 'Lawrence Barrow', Dorchester by J. Rigg. of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 21 August 1954. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows.
The area is under lawn and no trace of the barrow remains. A tall stone pillar set in a hedge and apparently uninscribed marks the site [1].
