Description
Fordington House, a brick building, partly stuccoed of two storeys and attics built in the second half of the 18th century and a substantial west wing added in the early 19th century. The original house has been much altered, having had a modern pedimented feature added to the north. The interior has been remodelled to form flats. The grounds are enclosed by rubble walls containing a main entrance from Icen Way with ashlar gate piers surmounted by ball finials. Grade 2*.
The site was surveyed by 'J.G.B' of the Ordnance Survey Archaeological Division on the 10 October 1980. His field notes are recorded on the OS record card as follows:
