Description

Evaluation by Wessex Archaeology of land for proposed redevelopment. The evaluation consisted of the machine excavation of two trenches. One trench was devoid of archaeological deposits and the other contained the remains of a post-medieval chalk drain. This drain was cut through a mixed deposit thought to represent consolidation of the adjacent stream bank, and to date from the 19th century.
