A survey undertaken by Mark Corney for AC archaeology on behalf of the Shaftesbury Abbey and Museum Preservation Trust Company Ltd, with the purpose of producing a reliable and accurate plan of the extant remains of Shaftesbury Abbey. The exposed masonry of the abbey was recorded, and modern detail including the new museum complex.
Most of the survey work was carried out in March 1999, with further work in early August and mid-November 1999, and final amendments in the summer of 2001.
