Description

Lilian Ladle conducted an archaeological watching brief during groundworks for the construction of new flats at Millyard Court, Mill Lane Wareham in the autumn of 1987. The topsoil contained modern debris at its base and several 19th-20th century features were noted. No evidence for Saxon activity was found, although watching briefs of this type only have a very low probability of detecting post-built structures. [1]
