Description

Observations and recording during groundworks for a new modular building. The groundworks comprised the terracing of an area of 15m by 10m, and the digging of eighteen 0.6m by 0.6m post pads dug to 0.6m or until natural soil was reached and by a 15m by 0.9m foundation trench. The watching brief discovered that soil consisted of made up ground to a depth of 1.2m. The finds recovered from the site were exclusively modern, and no archaeological finds or features were discovered.
